Zdeněk Meduna
I have a degree in production. I have been working as a production manager, assistant to the director or location manager for over 10 years. Because I know how the mechanics of film work, I can make a shoot with a minimal carbon footprint. There’s nothing easier than to start changing the mind-set gradually and for each individual. Greenfilming is the future of film. It’s the direction we want to be a part of. I’ll be happy to be your guide on Planet A. Besides everything above, I’m raising bees, growing potatoes on straw, digging meanders in a stream, and planting trees. We have two sons, and that’s two more reasons to think about the future. To have the commitment to hand the planet over in a better state than it is in. I see sustainability as a natural necessity.

I first tested waste reduction on the set of the film Bourák in 2019. Since then I haven’t left the topic of sustainability, I’ve taken several courses on the basics of the circular economy, joined Save the Food, worked with Bezobalu, started cycling, etc. Without sustainability, it’s unsustainable.

I studied film producing in London. The first big exclamation point for me was shooting Environmental Protest. After returning to the Czech Republic, I started to see that the sustainability trend is not just a trend, but a direction to take. Since then, I have been looking for my own paths – whether in my professional or personal life, which somehow or other intersect together.
